- Oral or injectable?
- For gut-related goals, oral is the logical route. For a specific tendon or joint, injection near the site is the more common approach. Your clinician picks based on what you're treating.
- How long do I run it?
- Most protocols are four to eight weeks followed by a break. Continuous indefinite use isn't something we prescribe, given the state of the evidence.
- Is it allowed in competition?
- No. BPC-157 appears on the WADA prohibited list. If you're subject to drug testing, tell your clinician during intake.
Reported side effects are uncommon and generally mild — injection-site irritation, transient nausea or headache. The more important caveat is the limited human safety data rather than any specific frequent effect.
Who this is not for
- Not FDA-approved; human trial evidence is limited and mostly preclinical
- Prohibited in competition by WADA — relevant for tested athletes
- Not evaluated in pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Should not be used with an undiagnosed mass or active malignancy
Regulatory status: Compounded. Read our full medical disclaimer.

What is BPC-157?
BPC-157 is a synthetic fragment of a protein found in human gastric juice.
Animal research suggests it promotes angiogenesis — the formation of new blood vessels — in injured tissue, which is the rate-limiting step in healing poorly vascularized structures like tendon.
Individual results vary. Figures shown are modelled from published literature and aggregated, self-reported member check-ins; they are illustrative and are not a guarantee of outcome. See the evidence tier for this treatment.

2–3How BPC-157 works
Week 1
Cycle begins. Route is chosen by target — oral for gut-related goals, injection near a specific soft-tissue site.
30 Days
Most patients who respond report something by now. Your clinician sets the return-to-load progression.
3 Months
The cycle has ended and you're in a break. We assess whether the gain held without the peptide.
6 Months
A second cycle if warranted. We don't run repair peptides continuously given the state of the evidence.
1 Year and Beyond
Cycled as needed around injury, not as a permanent prescription.
