- How is this different from sildenafil?
- Sildenafil improves blood flow. PT-141 acts in the brain on desire. They address different halves of the problem, and for some patients both are appropriate.
- How do I avoid the nausea?
- Start at the lowest dose. Nausea is dose-dependent, and most people find a level that works without it.
- How often can I use it?
- No more than twice weekly, and no more than eight doses a month. More frequent use raises the risk of skin pigmentation changes.
Nausea affects a meaningful minority of users and is the usual reason to reduce the dose. Flushing, headache and injection-site reactions are also reported. Transient blood-pressure elevation means it isn't appropriate with uncontrolled hypertension.
Who this is not for
- Nausea is the most common effect and is strongly dose-related
- Can transiently raise blood pressure — uncontrolled hypertension is a contraindication
- Temporary skin darkening can occur with frequent use
- Not for use during pregnancy

What is PT-141?
PT-141 activates melanocortin receptors — principally MC4R — in the hypothalamus.
This is a central nervous system pathway involved in sexual arousal, entirely separate from the vascular mechanism of PDE5 inhibitors like sildenafil.
Individual results vary. Figures shown are modelled from published literature and aggregated, self-reported member check-ins; they are illustrative and are not a guarantee of outcome. See the evidence tier for this treatment.

90How PT-141 works
Week 1
Onboarding, first dose and a check-in on tolerability. Most protocols start below the standard dose so your body has time to adjust.
30 Days
Your first real signal. We review side effects, adherence and any early changes before deciding whether to adjust anything.
3 Months
The window where most measurable change shows up. Repeat labs where the protocol calls for them, and a dose review either way.
6 Months
Trend lines rather than single readings. We compare against your baseline panel and decide whether to continue, adjust or stop.
1 Year and Beyond
Maintenance. The goal is the lowest effective dose you can hold, with twice-yearly labs keeping the protocol honest.
